I am starting my hot pepper growing season early (REALLY early) here in Vancouver, BC, Canada, in zone 8b. I am experimenting with growing my hot peppers in the Aerogarden LED 6 which I just purchased. I also have an Aerogarden 6 CFL which I am currently not using, but will likely have to use it shortly as the hot peppers outgrow the Aerogarden 6 LED. I will then eventually take these hot peppers out of the aerogarden and plant them in various pots using various growing mediums, methods and lighting. It is going to be great fun experimenting with growing hot peppers.
As of this video, I am currently growing the following hot peppers (super hots):
• Brazillian Ghost (started on Aug 10, 2016)
• Chocolate Scotch Bonnet ((started on Aug 10, 2016);
• 7pot Bubblegum Large (started on Aug 23, 2016);
• Jay’s Peach Ghost x Chocolate Ghost (started on Aug 23, 2016).
I am documenting this grow from start to finish. I will be experimenting on these hot peppers (or chillies as they are known elsewhere) with different methods, different hot peppers, growing indoor and outdoor, different lighting, environments etc. So if you are interested in growing hot peppers in an aerogarden , interested in an aerogarden for other vegetables or ideas or simply just love hot peppers, subscribe to my channel.
In this video, I will show you the transplant shock after transplanting my chocolate scotch bonnet from my aeorgarden to a container. I will then show you how I rehab the plant over 20 days. I also top both my Brazilian Ghost and my 7 pot bubblegum large and also do some pruning to them. I then show how these two grow over 20 days.
If you have any questions about any of my hot peppers or chilies, let me know in the comments section. I would be happy to answer any hot pepper related questions, including topping hot peppers, chillies, growing, nutrients, lighting (LED or CFL), soil, growing medium etc. I would absolutely love to hear from you.
